Fortuna Dusseldorf, Hannover 96 Join Chase For KIM OJO
Published: November 26, 2012Two German clubs have joined the scramble for the hot -in - demand Nigerian forward Kim Ojo, who runs out of contract at SK Brann in December, 2013, aftenposten.no citing BT is reporting on its website.
The Norwegian newspaper says Fortuna Dusseldorf and Hannover 96 will challenge Belgian club Racing Genk for Ojo's signature.
''We have observed Ojo,'' said Wolfgang Werner, manager of Fortuna to Westdeutsche Zeitung.
It had been reported that Brann and Racing Genk have agreed a transfer fee for Kim Ojo. But the striker is not willing to join the Europa League campaigners. Instead, he might fancy a move to Germany.
Besiktas, Hamburg and Kuban Krasnodar are also monitoring the situation of Ojo, with intentions of bringing out their cheque books in the January market. Tuttomercatoweb says he is also wanted by Chievo Verona and was previously courted by Liverpool and Chelsea.
Allnigeriasoccer.com, based on authentic information from a club insider, values Ojo at a transfer fee of 2 million euros.
