Chelsea, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Stuttgart linked with 2007-born Super Falcons striker
Published: December 18, 2024Super Falcons striker Janet Akekoromowei is reportedly attracting interest from top European clubs.
Score Nigeria claims that Juventus have held preliminary talks with Akekoromowei's camp regarding her availability, but the Italian giants face competition for her signature.
The Asisat Oshoala Academy product has also been linked with Women's Super League champions Chelsea and German duo Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart.
Akekoromowei is currently making waves at the ongoing WAFU B U17 Girls' Cup in Ghana, showcasing her talent with a hat-trick in the Flamingoes' 9-0 victory over the Republic of the Niger.
The 2007-born center forward was part of Nigeria's squad for the 2024 Fifa U20 Women's World Cup in September and made her senior debut the following month in a friendly against Algeria.
Akekoromowei, who is built in the same mould as Asisat Oshoala, models her game after the Liverpool and Arsenal alum.
It is worth noting that the aforementioned European clubs cannot sign Janet Akekoromowei until November 2025
as Fifa regulations protect minors and prohibit the transfer of players under the age of 18.
