WAFCON 2024 group stage draw in full: Super Falcons to face Tunisia, Algeria, Botswana

Nigeria have been drawn in Group B of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations in the draw ceremony held on Friday evening.

The Super Falcons have been grouped alongside 2022 WAFCON quarter-finalist Tunisia, Botswana, and Algeria, whom they defeated 6-1 on aggregate across two recent friendly matches.

Nigeria qualified for the tournament by defeating Cape Verde 7-1 on aggregate across two legs.

The 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations will be the 15th edition of the tournament with the first edition being held in 1998 and Nigeria has featured in all editions.

They have won the tournament on nine occasions settling for fourth place at the 2022 edition, after succumbing to a defeat against Zambia in the bronze medal match.

The Super Falcons are still without a substantive head coach after Randy Waldrum tendered his resignation at the climax of the 2024 Summer Olympic games held in Paris, with Justin Madugu being the team's current caretaker manager. 

The competition will begin on July 5th, 2024 and will come to a close on July 26th.
