The Golden Eaglets 2019 U17 World Cup adventure ended on a losing note against the Netherlands on Wednesday.
Here's how every one of them in action performed:
The Starters
Goalkeeper
Daniel Jinadu: Could do little about Sontje Hansen's goals no thanks to some below-par defending from his mates. (4/10)
Defenders
Ferdinand Ikenna: Poor outing from Ikenna, in all facets. Couldn't get to grips with the Netherlands attackers and was culpable for the late penalty his team conceded. (4/10)
Usman Ibrahim: Another of the passerbys from the game. Offered nothing in particular and one will be wondering at such insipid showing. (3.5/10)
Oluwatimilehin Adeniyi: Suspect in defending, and which ultimately resulted in Sontje's second of the night. (4/10)
Charles Etim: The movement of Youri Reeger forced him back for most part of it but he was solid. Went on some incisive forays, one of which resulted in Calvin Raatsie spilling his low drive. (5/10)
Midfielders
Samson Tijani: One of the most impressive players on his team. Raided the opposition half a number of times with some promising attacks and was all over the rival midfielders. Connected his teammates, particularly Olusegun on occasions but wayward shooting rendered his efforts nought. (7/10)
Hamzat Ojediran: Didn't really look the part in the midfield game and was shorn of any meaningful input. Booked for a needless tackle on Ian Maatsen. (3.5/10)
Akinkunmi Amoo: Was starved of service for much of the first period though he still managed to set up Olusegun for the equaliser. (6/10)
Attackers
Ibrahim Sa'id: Saw very little of the ball and had a very hushed game. Tried very little or none of his tricks and really should have done better. Hooked for Jabaar late on. (4/10)
Peter Olawale: Started brightly with some springing forays but soon saw much of his influence curtailed. Tried a couple of shots which didn't come off before he came off for Nwachukwu in the second half after an average outing.(4/10)
Olusegun Olakunle: Brilliantly took on Devyne Rensch for his goal and put up some real good attacking moves. (6/10)
The Substitutes
Divine Nwachukwu: Replaced Olawale but could help swing the game back in his team's favour. (3/10)
Ibrahim Jabaar: Another ineffective introduction (4/10)
