Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray have signed versatile Lens right-back Przemyslaw Frankowski ahead of the close of the January transfer window, amid interest in Nottingham Forest's Nigeria defender Ola Aina.
Przemyslaw Frankowski has joined the Lion on a loan deal for the remainder of the 2024-2025 season, with a conditional purchase clause included in the deal.
If Galatasaray activate the option to buy in Frankowski's deal, they are unlikely to sign Ola Aina at the end of the season.
Just as the Nigeria international does, Frankowski has the ability to feature as a left wingback, right wingback, and right-back.
Aina has entered the last five months of his contract at Nottingham Forest, which puts his future at this season's Premier League surprise package in doubt.
The two-time European champions are keen to tie down the Chelsea Academy graduate to a new deal and negotiations have been ongoing for several months though no agreement has been finalized.
Since joining Nottingham Forest on a free transfer in the summer of 2023, Aina has logged 46 appearances in the Premier League, scoring three goals while producing two assists.
Barring an injury, Aina is expected to be named in the Super Eagles squad for next month's 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda's Wasps and Zimbabwe's Warriors.
