Allnigeriasoccer.com's editorial staff can exclusively report that three foreign clubs are battling to sign Nigeria U17 international Peter Olawale.
The 2002-born player put himself in the shop window after scoring on his competitive debut for Nigeria as the Golden Eaglets lost 2-1 to Australia in the final Group B match at the ongoing FIFA U17 World Cup.
Olawale's grassroots club Tripple 44 Football Academy, affiliated to the Oyo State Football Association, are in talks with Maccabi Netanya and Beitar Jerusalem regarding a transfer when he attains the age of majority.
But the two Israeli Premier League clubs face competition for his services, with FK Sheriff Tiraspol from Moldova also working on a deal to sign the Golden Eaglet.
A striker capable of playing on both wings, he has been likened to Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo by his minders.
The highly-rated teenager gatecrashed his way into Nigeria's 21-man squad list as he surfaced at the Golden Eaglets training camp in the weeks leading up to the World Cup without an official invitation from the Nigeria Football Federation and coaching staff, similar to what was done by Chigozie Obasi before the 2013 U17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
