Allnigeriasoccer.com's round up of the Nigeria-eligible players on target for their clubs in English Football League matches on Saturday, October 12.
There were no goals to report in League One though the likes of Matthew Olosunde, Michael Ihiekwe (both Rotherham United), David Kasumu (MK Dons) and Abu Ogogo (Bristol Rovers) started for their respective teams.
In the League Two, a goal from Emmanuel Osadebe helped Macclesfield Town secure a 2-1 win against Port Vale at Moss Rose Ground.
On 64 minutes, Osadebe netted the game-winning goal, tapping in a low cross assisted by Welch-Hayes. He won the Silkmen's Man of the Match award for his efforts.
Mansfield Town recorded the biggest win in the division on match day 13, thrashing Oldham Athletic 6-1 at One Call Stadium in Nottinghamshire.
Introduced in the 61st minute, West Ham loanee Oladapo Afolayan needed only five minutes to extend the lead as he rolled home into the empty net after a stunning counter attack.
It was the first Mansfield Town goal for Afolayan, who spend the second half of last season on loan at Oldham Athletic.
Bradford City are up to third in the table with a 2-1 road win at Morecambe and they have to thank their two Nigerian stars for claiming all three points.
Super Eagles midfielder Hope Akpan made it two goals in as many games when he opened the scoring in the 47th minute, before Queens Park Rangers loanee Aramide Oteh hammered a driven shot into the bottom corner to make it 2-0 with 12 minutes left.
