CSKA Moscow Preparing Bid For Leicester City's Nigeria International Striker
Published: May 13, 2018CSKA Moscow are hoping to sign Nigeria international Ahmed Musa on a permanent basis in the summer transfer window after the striker finished his loan spell with the club on Sunday.
Leicester City and the Muscovites will have to sit down at the table to negotiate a transfer fee in the coming weeks, according to Director General of CSKA Roman Babaev.
Musa had a slow start following his return to CSKA Moscow but finished the season strongly, netting six goals in his last six matches in the league, while providing three assists.
''Will CSKA make attempts to keep Musa? We will conduct this work. But everything will depend on the position of Leicester,'' Babaev told championat.com.
''We would very much like him to stay with us. Moreover, we are in the Champions League. It is impossible to exclude this possibility.
''But, if Leicester will have a more profitable financial offer on hand, than we can make a bid, it will be difficult. Surely they have a goal to sell the player, and not again rent him. But we will try to keep Musa.''
Musa joined Leicester City on a four-year deal in July 2016 for a transfer fee in the region of 19.5 million euros.
