One-Time Arsenal Target Iheanacho Speaks About That Brilliant Goal For Leicester
Kelechi Iheanacho has spoken of his happiness to score his first goal in England against Arsenal on Wednesday evening, and was pleased to start for only the sixth time in the Premier League this season.

The Nigeria international netted an important opening goal on 14 minutes when he took advantage of a headed knock down from teammate, Fousseni Diabate to rattle his effort past Peter Cech.

''It is always good to be involved in a good sport, a great team. We started well and we got the first goal,'' Iheanacho told LCFC TV.

''We had the confidence and the momentum and we finished well.

''It was important to get the first goal to get us going and get our confidence back for the last couple of games. I think we've got our confidence back now, we're strong now, we'll keep going.''

Speaking on his goal, Iheanacho said : ''It was a great goal, good composure, a good assist from Fousseni and a good finish, so we keep going.

''It is good to be involved, as well as everyone, to be involved in everything, to help your team work hard. When you work hard, you get good results.''

The Taye Academy product was one of the two Golden Eaglets stars linked with a concrete transfer to Arsenal, the other being Chidiebere Nwakali, after starring at the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup.

Iheanacho’s Nigerian club scuppered the proposed move to the Emirates because they had a problem with the agent brokering the deal.
