Manchester United Name Two Nigerian Wingers In Squad For Singapore Tournament
Published: April 27, 2018At least two Nigerian whizkids are in line to represent Manchester United in the 2018 JSSL Singapore Professional Academies 7s which begins tomorrow in Padang, Singapore.
Manchester United youth-team guru NewManUtdNews has informed allnigeriasoccer.com that Deji Sotona and Shola Shoretire are confirmed members of the squad that traveled to Singapore on Thursday, April 26.
Winger Sotona has represented Republic of Ireland youth, he is classed as an U15 player but has some games under his belt for the U16s.
Shoretire can be deployed as a winger or striker and frequently trains with United's U16 team.
Last month, Sotona and Shoretire were members of the Manchester United squad for the prestigious MIC Mediterranean International CUP 18th edition, a tournament graced by Arsenal's Alex Iwobi in his teenage years.
Manchester United start off their campaign against English rivals Fulham on April 28 before games against Valencia, Urawa Red Diamonds, Liverpool, Bangkok United, JSSL FC and Perth Glory.
