A round-up of Nigerian players that were in action for their respective clubs in the English Premier League on Saturday, 7th April.

Nigerian players with dual nationalities that have played competitively for the senior national teams of other countries have been omitted.

In the early kick off, Everton and Liverpool played out a drab goalless draw in the Merseyside Derby contested at the Goodison Park.

Ex-Chelsea striker, Dominic Solanke started for The Reds in the encounter and was in action for the entire game.

Elsewhere in the division, NFF target, Jordon Ibe was not in the Bournemouth 18 that earned a 2-2 stalemate against Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park. The winger was missing from the starting XI due to illness.

Serbian midfielder, Luka Milivojevic opened scoring with a wonderful freekick after 47 minutes while Wilfried Zaha also got on the score sheet for the Eagles in the second period. Lys Mousset and Joshua King scored for the Cherries.

Over to the AMEX Stadium, Steve Mounie netted an equalizer after 32 minutes as Huddersfield Town played out a 1-1 draw with Brighton, who took the lead after an own goal from Jonas Loessl.

Denmark U21 international of Nigerian descent Philip Billing made his 50th league appearance for Huddersfield after coming off the bench in the 81st minute.

At the King Power Stadium, Newcastle ran out 2-1 winners against Leicester City, with Jonjo Shelvey and Ayoze Perez scoring the decisive goals for Rafa Benitez side. Jamie Vardy pulled one back for the hosts.

Wilfred Ndidi served the first of his two-game suspension after his sending off last weekend versus Brighton and Hoves while Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute in the game.

At the Vicarage Road, Burnley edged Watford to a 2-1 win, thanks to goals from Sam Vokes and Cork while Ricardo Pereyra got one back for the hosts.

Stefano Okaka came on after 76 minutes and picked up a booking for his troubles in stoppage time.

At the Hawthorns, Chelsea loanee, Tammy Abraham struck a 75th minute leveler to deny West Brom a victory over Swansea in a 1-1 draw.

In the late kick-off which could decide the Premier League title at Old Trafford, Tosin Kehinde and Matthew Olosunde are not involved for The Red Devils while Lukas Nmecha and Tosin Adarabioyo would equally not turn out for the Citizens.
