Leicester Boss Hails Nigeria Stars Musa, Ndidi For Stellar Showing Against Everton
Published: January 07, 2017Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri was delighted with the performance of Nigerian internationals Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi in their 2-1 win over Everton on Saturday evening.
The Premier League champs have to thank Musa for advancing to the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup after he came off the bench to score two goals, while Ndidi managed the game well from the middle of the pack.
On Musa, the Italian coach said : “Musa was excellent. I’ve watched him recently and think he is starting to understand English football better.”
Reacting to the performance of Ndidi on his debut, Ranieri stated : “Ndidi only trained two days with us, but he showed strong character and personality. A great performance.”
Musa has now netted four goals for the Foxes in all competitions since his transfer from CSKA Moscow last summer.
