Catch up on the performances of players of Nigerian descent in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

Kelechi Iheanacho scored his first-ever goal in the Champions League in Manchester City’s 4-0 rout of Borussia Mönchengladbach.  The Nigeria international came off the bench in the 83rd minute, then put City 4-0 up in the first minute of stoppage time.

The 19-year-old slammed home from close range after he was set up by Leroy Sane. Teammate Tosin Adarabioyo played for the U19s in the Youth League on Tuesday and wasn’t involved.

England midfielder Dele Alli put in a ninety-minute shift in midfield in Tottenham Hotspur’s shock 2-1 loss to Monaco at Wembley Stadium. Josh Onomah was not in Spurs’ 18-man squad.

Super Eagles assistant skipper Ahmed Musa hopped off the bench in the 70th minute as English champions Leicester City hammered Club Brugge 3-0 at Jan Breydelstadion (Brugge).
