Manchester City Staff Tips Iheanacho To Start Vs Manchester United
Published: September 08, 2016In his preview of the upcoming Manchester derby, Manchester City club journalist Mark Booth has predicted that manager Pep Guardiola will start Kelechi Iheanacho in attack on Saturday.
The striker position has been the subject of debate following the three-game ban handed to Sergio Aguero, and Booth reckons that the Nigerian, Kevin De Bruyne, Leroy Sane and Nolito could fill the void left by the Argentine.
“Guardiola has plenty of options when it comes to replacing the banned Sergio Aguero, ’’ said Booth
“The most conventional, like-for-like swap would see Kelechi Iheanacho start up front but our boss is not shy of thinking outside of the box when it comes to the way he lines up his teams.’’
Should Iheanacho step out onto the Old Trafford pitch from the very beginning of the game, it would be his first start in the Premier League this term.
