Anthony Ujah Explains Why He Joined Werder Bremen
Published: July 04, 2015Super Eagles forward Anthony Ujah has admitted that life at Cologne was
becoming too routine and that contributed to his decision to severe ties
with The Billy Goats.
The 24 - year - old scored 34 goals in 94 league matches before ending his three - year association with the RheinEnergieStadion outfit in the summer transfer market.
Speaking to the official website of Werder Bremen, Ujah said : “I’d been at FC Köln for three years and by the end I was very relaxed in all aspects of my life.
“For some people, such a comfort is desirable, but not for me. I always want to be on the move, I always want to show people who don’t know me what I can do. ”
He added : “I want to see if I’m good enough and prove to myself that I am - that’s why I came to Werder.
“I want to bring something to the team; I want to repay the trust that the club has shown in me and the help I’ve been give.”
Anthony Ujah bagged a second - half hat - trick in Werder Bremen’s 11 - 0 defeat of Neuruppin on Saturday.
