Obafemi Martins: I Have Signed A Two - Year Contract With Seattle Sounders
Published: March 11, 2013Levante striker Obafemi Martins has sensationally revealed to Italian media that he has signed a two - year - contract with MLS side Seattle Sounders.
If we are to believe his statements, the Nigeria international would depart for the United States in only a matter of days.
''I'm happy and ready for this new experience. I signed a two-year contract plus an option of a third. In two or three days I should already be in Seattle.
''If I left Europe too soon? No. I changed many teams over the years, I needed a new adventure. I go to the States with the desire to experience a different kind of football,'' says Martins to Tuttomercatoweb.com.
This season, 28 - year - old Martins, who is in the Super Eagles squad to battle Kenya in Calabar, has netted 7 times in 21 matches for Levante.
