Super Eagles-eligible LB battles Chelsea and Liverpool starlets, 4 others for PL2 POTM
Published: April 06, 2023
Super Eagles-eligible player Tayo Adaramola has been recognized for his outstanding performances in the month of March, with the Premier League shortlisting him for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month accolade.
The Crystal Palace left-back cum wingback went the distance in every single game contested by the Eagles development squad in the Premier League 2 last month (three in total), helping them record victories in tricky fixtures against Everton, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Adaramola had one goal involvement to his name, producing a cross which was volleyed in by 2023 Flying Eagles invitee Ademola Ola-Adebomi in a 2-0 win over Arsenal on March 17.
It took his goal involvements to two for the season in the division, having also registered an assist for the match-winning goal against Liverpool back in January.
A total of seven players have been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month after being selected by the Premier League's Football Development Panel.
The other nominees are Kian Breckin (Manchester City); Luca Barrington (Brighton & Hove Albion); Mason Burstow (Chelsea); Sonny Perkins (Leeds United); Jeremy Sivi (Middlesbrough) and Layton Stewart (Liverpool).
Adaramola will be aiming to continue his impressive form on Good Friday as Crystal Palace face Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League 2.
