Hale End product Ebiowei, Chelsea loanee Anjorin open EFL Championship account
Published: April 30, 2022Chelsea-owned attacking midfielder Faustino Anjorin and Hale End Academy product Malcolm Ebiowei opened their goalscoring account in the EFL Championship on Saturday.
2019 Golden Eaglets invitee Malcolm Ebiowei was the star performer as already relegated Derby County defeated Blackpool 2-0 at Bloomfield Road.
Seventeen minutes from time, Ebiowei opened the scoring when he took advantage of a loose ball to finish after Sibley's shot was pushed away by Seasiders goalkeeper Chris Maxwell, his first goal as a professional.
The former Arsenal schoolboy turned provider in the 82nd minute as he whipped in an inviting free-kick which Eiran Cashin powered beyond the goalkeeper.
Ebiowei's first senior goal came in his fifteenth appearance for the Rams and after 849 minutes of action.
Chelsea loanee Faustino Anjorin needed fourteen minutes to double Huddersfield Town's advantage after coming off the bench to help the Terriers secure a 2-1 road win against Coventry City.
The England youth international converted from the spot in the 79th minute after Lewis O'Brien was brought down by the keeper.
Anjorin has made six appearances for Huddersfield Town in the Championship - all of them off the bench.
