The central midfielder has not been involved in any of the matches played by Brentford this month due to fitness issues.
Onyeka is still on the sidelines after suffering an ankle injury in the first half of the 2022 World Cup playoff against Ghana on March 29.
Based on the latest update provided by Brentford manager Thomas Frank, Onyeka will be out of action until at least after the game against Southampton, putting his availability for the upcoming friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador in doubt.
"Ethan Pinnock is not ready. We hope that Southampton could a possibility which is the same for Sergi Canos," Frank was quoted as saying by Brentford's official webpage.
"Frank Onyeka could be longer. Saman Ghoddos is out with a twisted ankle. "
Playing for a newly promoted side, Onyeka showed what he is capable of prior to his spell on the sidelines, making 20 appearances for a Brentford side who are safe from relegation.
