Promising Arsenal youth team striker of Nigerian descent suffers injury
Published: April 22, 2022Allnigeriasoccer.com has been told that promising Arsenal youth team striker of Nigerian descent Henry Timi Davies has been ruled out of the U18 Premier League fixture against Norwich City on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
The Gunners U18 boss Dan Micciche will be without the Anglo-Nigerian starlet due to injury.
The last time Davies was included in a matchday squad for the youth teams came against Brighton & Hove U18s, the last game before the March internationals.
Recruited from Manchester City a year ago, the striker made his debut in the U18 Premier League in a 2-1 loss to West Brom on March 12, lasting 62 minutes on the pitch before he was replaced.
He has also tasted action in the U18 Premier League Cup and was a non-playing substitute in the Premier League 2 match with Derby County U23s in January.
After starting the season as a first year scholar, Arsenal confirmed in December that the England youth international has signed his first professional contract, a deal that should keep him at the Emirates until June 30, 2024.
He was invited to train with Arsenal's first team during the third international break of the season in November.
