Arsenal midfielder Azeez straight back to work after making the bench against Chelsea
Published: April 22, 2022Arsenal have now turned their attention to Saturday's Premier League meeting with another top four rival Manchester United.
The Gunners players were straight back to work on Thursday, a day after they ended a run of three successive defeats in style by beating world champions Chelsea 4-2 at Stamford Bridge.
It was a recovery session for the players that started the game against Chelsea, while those that got few minutes and were unused substitutes trained more vigorously at London Colney.
England U20 international of Nigerian descent Miguel Azeez continues to train with the first team ahead of a possible Premier League debut before the end of the 2021-2022 season.
Azeez was out on the pitch along with the likes of Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette and Cédric Soares.
The Hale End Academy product monitored proceedings from the bench during Wednesday night's win at Chelsea, with manager Mikel Arteta opting for Mohamed Elneny and Xhaka as his two holding midfielders.
Nigerian goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, who is third choice goalkeeper, participated in full training on Thursday.
