Napoli icon reveals what they told him about Osimhen amid transfer links
Published: April 20, 2022Napoli legend Salvatore Bagni has revealed that he has received important news about Victor Osimhen amid speculation linking the striker with a departure from the Diego Maradona Stadium as from the summer transfer window.
The Nigeria national teamer has impressed since landing at Napoli from Lille in 2020 but has been criticized for not scoring against the top teams.
In 46 career appearances in the Italian top-flight, Osimhen has managed to score only against Lazio and Atalanta, firing blanks against AC Milan, Juventus, AS Roma, Inter Milan and Fiorentina.
Bagni believes top teams based in Spain, England and Germany are keeping tabs on Osimhen ahead of a potential move in the summer.
In quotes relayed by Napolipiu citing Tele A, Bagni said : "I have received important news about the center forward .
"They told me that all the most important teams in Europe, the ones that aim to win, are interested in the Nigerian. Is there a reason or not?"
When the 2015 U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner joined the
Partenopei, he became the most expensive African-born
player in history at seventy million euros.
Osimhen is under contract with Napoli until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
