Published: April 16, 2022Thanks to Ghana international Jordan Ayew, 'High', a song by Nigerian highlife singer Adekunle Gold featuring Davido has been added to Crystal Palace's official Spotify playlist ahead of their Emirates FA Cup semifinal clash against Chelsea.
Crystal Palace asked the players to build their own pre-match playlist before the showdown at Wembley and Black Stars winger Ayew went for High - Adekunle Gold ft Davido as his best song at the moment.
The Eagles official Spotify playlist has 42 songs with the players picking tracks three to eleven to get them in the mood for the clash against the world champions.
Produced by Pheelz, High was released in 2021 and it has earned rave reviews from across the country.
Since it premiered last September, the song has reached 18.6 million streams on YouTube.
Another Crystal Palace player of African descent Marc Guéhi also enjoys Nigerian music with the Abidjan-born England international choosing 'Mood' by WizKid as his favourite song at the moment.
'Mood' is track number six on the Palace official Spotify playlist and 'High' is the seventh track.
Eberechi Eze and Tayo Adaramola are in contention to be selected in Palace's matchday squad to face Chelsea on Sunday, while Michael Olise will face a late fitness test.
