200th EPL appearance on birthday : Everton GK matches feat of ex-Chelsea ace Moses, 3 others
Published: March 07, 2022Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford made his 200th Premier League appearance in the ongoing game against Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
According to the official website of the Premier League, the England glovesman is only the fifth player to reach that milestone on his birthday after former Chelsea stars Victor Moses and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, ex-Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta and ex-Leeds United striker Noel Whelan.
Moses represented five different clubs in the Premier League namely Wigan Athletic, Chelsea, Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United.
The former Nigeria international made his 200th appearance in the Premier League in Chelsea's 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town at the John Smith's Stadium on December 12, 2017, on his 27th birthday, a year younger than Pickford who is 28 today.
To get to the milestone of 200 appearances in the top-flight, Moses appeared in 74 games for Wigan Athletic, nineteen each were in the colours of Liverpool and Stoke City, 21 for West Ham United and 67 for Chelsea.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner played twenty more games in the Premier League before sealing a permanent transfer to Spartak Moscow in the summer of 2021.
Moses scored 20 goals and registered 26 assists in his Premier League career and won the title with Chelsea in 2016-2017.
