Adaramola reveals the only problem he had with his starting debut for Crystal Palace
Published: March 02, 2022Irish-Nigerian left-back Tayo Adaramola made his starting
debut for Crystal Palace as they advanced to the next round of the FA
Cup with a 2-1 win over Stoke City at Selhurst Park on
Tuesday night.
A Republic of Ireland U19 international, Adaramola has admitted that the only problem over the course of 65 minutes he was on the pitch was his hair product getting in his eyes due to the rainy conditions.
The 18-year-old is inching closer to a first team promotion on a permanent basis having trained with the senior squad several times in the last few weeks and making the matchday squad on three occasions in 2022.
Speaking to Palace TV post-match, the young professional said : "I think this is a great game against a Championship club, so hopefully I can show that if I can play against a Championship club, I can play against a Premier League club. It was enjoyable.
"The conditions were perfect football weather. The rain was getting in my eyes – my hair products were getting in my eyes, that was the only problem! It was good football weather. I enjoyed it."
