2003-born Irish-Nigerian left-back makes first senior start for Crystal Palace in win vs Stoke
Published: March 01, 20222003-born Irish-Nigerian left-back Tayo Adaramola made his starting debut for Crystal Palace as they advanced to the next round of the FA Cup with a 2-1 win over Josh Maja's Stoke City at Selhurst Park on Tuesday night.
The Republic of Ireland youth teamer made his first team debut for the Eagles in the fourth round of the competition, coming off the bench for the final four minutes against Hartlepool United on February 5, before making the bench for the Premier League game vs Chelsea two weeks later.
Adaramola started alongside Michael Olise and was on the pitch for 65 minutes before he was replaced by Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp.
The 18-year-old is on the periphery of the first team picture at Crystal Palace after a string of fine displays for their academy teams.
After a goalless first half, an unmarked Cheikhou Kouyate hammered the ball into the top corner to break the deadlock in the 53rd minute but the Potters were level five minutes later as Tymon slotted in at the back post for 1-1.
Jairo Riedewald drilled the ball in the bottom corner for the winning goal eight minutes from time after latching onto a clearance from a corner.

Olise played the full game for the Eagles, Maja was replaced midway through the second half and Eberechi Eze was an unused substitute.
