Official : Versatile Spanish-Nigerian left-back signs pro deal with Huddersfield Town
Published: February 27, 2022Championship outfit Huddersfield Town have announced through their official website that versatile Nigeria-eligible left-back Charles Ondo has committed his future to the club.
Ondo has signed his first professional contract with the Terriers, a deal that runs until the summer of 2023, with the Club holding an option year.
Huddersfield Town pulled off a transfer coup by luring him to the club in the summer of 2020 as he was also on the wishlist of Norwich City, Stoke City, Sheffield United and West Brom.
Although left-back is his preferred position, Ondo has showcased his versatility by playing at centre back and striker this season.
Born in Madrid 22 October 2003, the rising fullback is also eligible to represent the Spanish youth teams at international level.
Ondo will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Philip Billing and Mustapha Olagunju who rose through the academy ranks before making their first team debuts for Huddersfield.
