'Look at what he did with Moses at Chelsea' - Spurs hero backs Conte to revive career of Young Lion
Published: December 26, 2021Tottenham Hotspur hero Michael Dawson is backing manager Antonio Conte to revive the career of England U21 international Ryan Sessegnon at the Lilywhites just as Victor Moses came back into reckoning at Chelsea under the tutelage of the Italian football tactician.
More than two years after his arrival at Tottenham Hotspur from Fulham, Sessegnon has recorded eighteen appearances in all competitions, four since Conte took over the managerial reins.
In his maiden season in England, Conte switched to a back three
after a loss to Arsenal and converted Moses into a right wing-back while
Marcos Alonso was deployed as a left wing-back.
"When you look at the defence, I've always been a big fan of Eric Dier. He's had his critics, but sometimes you just get personnel that suit you," Dawson said to Daily Express.
"I also think Ryan Sessegnon might work out as a left wing-back. I'm not sure he's a left winger or a left-back, but if you look at what Conte did with Victor Moses at Chelsea, something similar might happen here."

Moses played under Conte again during a loan spell at Inter Milan in the second half of the 2019-2020 season, helping the Black and Blues reach the final of the Europa League.
