Lille President Gérard Lopez has made it clear that he is not willing to sanction the sale of Victor Osimhen in the January and summer transfer windows.
The Nigeria international continues to be linked with a departure from the Ligue 1 club, with Barcelona targeting him as a replacement for the ageing Luis Suarez.
With 11 goals in 21 matches across all competitions, the former Sporting Charleroi striker has proved that he is not a one-season wonder.
Speaking on his transfer strategy, Lopez was quoted as saying by le10sport.com : ''The goal would be, for example, to keep Victor Osimhen another year. We can not say that the LOSC is a club that has no ambitions and just trades.
''We have refused many important offers because we have important sporting ambitions, but people only see the departures''.
Osimhen is under contract with Lille until the summer of 2024 and coast the club €12 million when he joined from Sporting Charleroi in August.
