Former Crystal Palace starlet Joseph Hungbo salvaged a point for Professional Development League leaders, Watford in their league clash which ended 1-1 with Cardiff City at the Clarence Park, St. Albans on Monday afternoon.
The 19-year-old started for the Hornets and rescued them from the jaws of defeat with a late goal when he pounced on a through ball from Lo-Everton to curl a sumptuous effort past City goalkeeper seven minutes from time.
Watford lead the Southern part of the division with 29 points after 14 games, and the draw will come as an added boost as they have lost just one of their last seven home games, winning five.
Starring alongside Hungbo were his compatriots Jayden Bennetts who twice went close to scoring in the encounter as well as Emmanuel Adebiyi and Jamal Balogun.
Hubgbo and Bennetts were the goalscorers the last time Watford recorded a league win on November 25th, with both on the score sheet in a 2-1 win over Queen Park Rangers.
