What Does The Future Hold For Nigeria Target Ademola Lookman?

Ademola Lookman is currently not having the best of times at his German Bundesliga club, RB Leipzig after all the promise and attention he had earlier courted during his teething years as a professional.
The former Everton wonderkid has played just 201 minutes of competitive football for The Red Bulls this season so far, and is worryingly on the fringes of Julian Nagelsmann's team.
It was widely expected that Lookman's return to the Red Bull Arena on a permanent basis will see him hit the ground running yet again, having taken the Bundesliga by storm during his short stint with the club in the 2017/2018 season when the attacker scored goals aplenty for them.
That however, have not been the case and the 22-year-old has struggled and is yet to play since October, little thanks to a niggling back injury and fitness issues.
He has also not opened his goal account for the season and is very much behind Timo Werner, Yussuf Poulsen and Matheus Cunha in the pecking order of attackers at the club.
There is no hiding the fact that the youngster is a bundle of talent but his development in Leipzig is clearly not going to plan if he continues to miss out on action with every passing game.
What then could be the best for the sake of his dwindling career? Perhaps a switch in the next window would help, as it is quickly become an insurmountable task for the youngster to get back into recognition in Germany.
His dip in form has not gone unnoticed at his former stomping ground and Lookman needs to prove his breakthrough was no flash in the pan, and which is precisely the reason why he might need to kick start his renaissance elsewhere.
