German Club Enquire About Availability Of Golden Eaglets No 12, And It's Not Greuther Furth
Published: November 30, 2019Allnigeriasoccer.com has been told that Nigeria U17 international Peter Olawale is attracting genuine interest from an unnamed German club.
The Gidado Football Academy product put himself in the shop window during the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup, scoring the solitary goal for the Golden Eaglets in the 2-1 loss to Australia.
Reports linking Olawale with a possible transfer to 2. Bundesliga side SpVgg Greuther Fürth are incorrect.
It is confirmed that German-based agent Emeka Ezeala, who was the technical assistant to former Super Eagles coach Berti Vogts, is in talks with another German club over a deal for the striker.
It has been suggested that the unnamed German club contacted Ezeala and enquired about the availability of the 'Golden Eaglets number 12'.
Maccabi Netanya were previously linked with Olawale, as were Beitar Jerusalem and FK Sheriff Tiraspol, but it appears the three clubs are now lagging behind in the race for his services.
He becomes eligible to sign a deal with foreign club on July 26, 2020.
