Victor Obinna's proposed move to Italian Serie D club Seregno Calcio has hit the rocks and this is official.
According to previous statements credited to President of Seregno Calcio, Davide Erba, the Nigeria international was expected to begin training with the club on Wednesday, November 27 with a view to being offered a contract.
Seregno Calcio have informed via Facebook that Obinna declined the offer because he's a seasoned player who wants to continue playing at a high level.
''Seregno Calcio announces that the great champion Victor Obinna has declined our proposal.
''It is understandable that a player of such caliber wants to continue playing in the top league. Strength Obinna! We wish you a great continuation of your career!''
Obinna becomes the second player to reject a transfer to Seregno Calcio in recent days, after ex-Inter Milan, Juventus and Roma striker Marco Borriello.
The 32-year-old Nigerian previously wore the colours of Chievo Verona and Inter Milan in Italy.
