The NFF have resumed talks with Queen Park Rangers Eberechi Eze over switching his international allegiance and turning out for the Nigeria national team, the Federation confirmed on Sunday morning.
Eze has, however requested to be given some more time to make his decision, with a focus on his club career much more important to him at the moment.
Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr is believed to be an admirer of the 21-year-old and is hoping Pinnick uses the close relations he has with the boy's father to lure him.
Eze has trained with the Super Eagles before a cancelled friendly against Burkina Faso in March 2017 but has since gone on to add to his youth caps by making competitive debut for the England U21 team, an appearance which made it a lot more difficult for Nigeria's advances.
