Gernot Rohr has been in contact with injured Super Eagles star Francis Uzoho via WhatsApp following the successful surgery the goalkeeper underwent last week at the HM Modelo hospital in A Coruña.
Uzoho copped the serious external meniscus and hip injury in Nigeria's
international friendly against Brazil on October 13 in Singapore which
ended in a 1-1 draw.
Asked about the message of solidarity he shared with the recuperating Uzoho, Rohr said in an interview with the Super Eagles Media Team : ''I sent him already via WhatsApp, the personal messages are not for the media. But you can imagine the message I sent him. Like you too, we have this big NFF family, we are wishing him all the best, he's not alone.
''I think we'll go and see him, he's in Spain actually. Like we did with Carl Ikeme, but I think this is not so dramatic like it was with Carl but we never forget the injured player or somebody who has health problems.
''We did the best already to make sure that he has very good doctors, it was necessary for him to go from Cyprus to Spain and he could do this in a good hospital.
''Now I hope that he can start very soon hard work to recover, rehabilitation which is very important.''
It is unclear for how long the Deportivo de La Coruña loanee will be ruled out of action as his parent club did not put a timeframe on his recovery.
