Lille striker Victor Osimhen is not among the top three goalscorers in the French Ligue 1 after 13 rounds in the division, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
However, the Nigeria international is among the sharpshooters in the French topflight with 40 shots played in 13 appearances, averaging 3.1 shots per game.
Only former Manchester United and Real Madrid winger Angel Di MarĂa has played more shots than Osimhen, with the Paris Saint-Germain star firing 42 shots from the same number of games.
FC Metz's Habib Diallo , Montpellier's Andy Delort and Lyon's Memphis Depay with 39 shots each complete the top five sharpshooters in the Ligue 1.
Osimhen attempted six shots each in matches against Saint-Etienne and Strasbourg.
The 20-year-old has been a leading light for Lille this season, scoring 7 goals in Ligue 1 and has struck twice in the UEFA Champions League.
He was central to the success of the Super Eagles during the international break, having a hand in five of the six goals they scored in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.
