Club Brugge striker Emmanuel Dennis has been nominated for the Champions League Player of the Week by UEFA following the conclusion of the matchday two fixtures on Wednesday night.
The Nigeria international has been nominated for the accolade along with Real Madrid loanee Achraf Hakimi, ex-Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and former Arsenal star Serge Gnabry.
Dennis has been recognized after netting a first-half brace as Club Brugge and Real Madrid played out a 2-2 draw at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.
Barcelona's Uruguay star Suarez matched that goalscoring feat the following day by bagging a brace against Inter Milan.
The best individual performance on game week two came from Bayern Munich's Gnabry who was involved in five goals (4goals, 1 assist) as the German champions thrashed last season's finalists Tottenham Hotspur 7-2 in London.
Morocco international, Hakimi was the star of the show in the Group F match between Slavia Prague and Borussia Dortmund, scoring both goals in a 2-0 victory.
