Sheffield United Failed With Bid For Club Brugge's Real Madrid Slayer Dennis
Published: October 03, 2019Belgian First Division A team Club Brugge turned down two bids for Emmanuel Dennis in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
According to Voetbalnieuws making reference to the print edition of Het Laatste Nieuws, Sheffield United and Ligue 1 team Monaco were interested in the winger and offered less than 10 million euros to sign him.
Club Brugge rejected the formal offers from the two clubs because they valued him at 15 million euros.
Dennis performed brilliantly as Club Brugge and Real Madrid shared the spoils with a 2-2 draw in a Champions League clash at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday night, scoring two goals in the first half.
Having put himself in the shop window, it is envisaged that more glamorous clubs will scout the Super Eagles starlet in the coming weeks and months.
A month ago, Dennis inked a new deal that will keep him at Club Brugge until at least the end of the 2021-2022 season.
The 21-year-old has been involved in 6 goals (5goals, 1 assist) in 12 appearances across all competitions this season.
