Manchester City loanee Tosin Adarabioyo has hinted that he would be open to representing the Nigeria National Team in the near future, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Born in Manchester, the central defender has played for England U16, U17, U18 and U19 national teams in the past but has been in the international wilderness for close to four years, with his last cap for the Young Lions coming against Japan U19 in November 2015.
His elder brother, Fisayo Adarabioyo, was called up
to a Nigeria U23 training camp in December 2014 but did not show up in
Abuja.
Three years ago, Tosin Adarabioyo was one of the hottest young prospects in English football and chose to stick with England when he was approached over the possibility of representing the Super Eagles.
But it appears the Blackburn Rovers star has had a change of heart if his latest post on Nigeria's Independence day is anything to go by.
Tosin tweeted, accompanied by a photo of him wearing a Super Eagles jersey : ''The 1st of October marks Nigerian Independence Day as well as the start of #BlackHistoryMonth.
''It was only right that I pulled out the most iconic Nigeria shirt from the 2018 World Cup!''

Adarabioyo's post was retweeted by the official Super Eagles Twitter account and several Nigeria fans appealed to the defender to change his allegiance to the three-time African champions.
