Allnigeriasoccer.com has been told that Wolverhampton Wanderers-owned striker Bright Enobakhare has pledged his international future to Nigeria over England.
Born in Benin City, Enobakhare moved to Birmingham at the age of fifteen and is eligible to represent England having spent more than five years in the country.
The 21-year-old is age-eligible to play for the Dream Team VII and is targeting a call-up to coach Imama Amapakabo's team if they qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games.
The Wigan Athletic deadline day signing is more or less ruled out of the U23 Africa Cup of Nations if he is considered for a call-up as the tournament is not on the FIFA calendar for international matches.
Touted as one of the brightest players to come out from the Wolves Academy in recent years, he made his professional debut at the age of 17, two years after he joined the club from Northfield Town Juniors.
Enobakhare has been labelled as a striker who is physically strong and has explosive pace.
Despite spending only half of the season at League One side Coventry City during the 2018-2019 campaign, he was named as the club's Young Player of the Year.
