Onuachu Left Out Of Midtjylland Squad Vs Glasgow Rangers, Two Nigerians In
Published: August 07, 2019Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has been left out of the FC Midtjylland squad for their Europa League third qualifying round tie against Glasgow Rangers on Thursday evening.
Onuachu has been given an extended break after representing the Super Eagles at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a summer departure from the Danish Superliga side with Belgian First Division A teams credited with an interest.
Two Nigerian players are in contention to feature for Midtjylland in tomorrow's game at the MCH Arena as manager Kenneth Andersen has named Ayo Okosun and Frank Onyeka in a 20-man provisional squad list.
Rangers pair Sheyi Ojo and Joe Aribo have both started three of the four games played by the club in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League, scoring two goals each.
The winner of the two-legged tie between Midtjylland and Rangers will face Poland's Legia Warsaw or Atromitos of Greece in the fourth and final qualifying round of the Europa League.
