Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Chelsea-owned defender Kenneth Omeruo has been granted compassionate leave by the Nigeria Football Federation and manager Gernot Rohr to be with his wife in London.
Omeruo's heavily pregnant wife is due to give birth to the couple's first child any moment from now.
The Nigeria international and Chioma Nnamani got married in an elaborate wedding ceremony held in Istanbul, Turkey in May 2018, five months after a traditional wedding in Enugu.
While Omeruo resides in Madrid following his summer move to CD Leganes, his wife remained in London and plans to give birth to her child in the English capital.
He played on the left side of a three-man defense in Nigeria's 1-1 draw with South Africa in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday, November 17.
The former Golden Eaglets star is the third defender excused from tomorrow's friendly against Uganda, the others being Ola Aina and Brighton's Leon Balogun.
