Nigerian Duo Return To Chelsea For Pre-Season Training
Published: July 03, 2018London-born Nigerian duo Ola Aina and Tammy Abraham have returned to Chelsea for pre-season training.
According to Carefree Youth, Abraham and Aina returned to Cobham to start pre season training yesterday and a few more players are expected to return on Tuesday, July 3.
Whilst the England U21 international spent the entirety of last season on loan at Swansea City, the Super Eagles defender was loaned out to Hull City.
Both Kenneth Omeruo and Victor Moses, who were part of Nigeria's World Cup contingent, will not be present for the first few weeks of preseason after representing the country in Russia.
Aina was named in the Super Eagles 25-man roster but was one of the two players axed by Rohr ahead of a training camp in Austria, the other being Porto midfielder Mikel Agu.
It is envisaged that the next Chelsea coach will decide the future of Aina and Abraham at the club, that is whether or not they will be loaned out, amid speculation that Antonio Conte will part company with Chelsea before the start of the season.
