Manchester United's Nigerian Whizkid Turning Heads In Spain With Second Consecutive Brace
Published: March 30, 2018Manchester United's Nigerian whizkid Shola Shoretire is reminding everyone of his quality at the ongoing Mediterranean International Cup with another pair of goals for the English club for the second game in a row.
The highly-rated teenager netted a brace in United U16s 6-0 rout of Trendsetter Hawks on Thursday and is proving to be one of the revelations of the prestigious tournament after scoring two goals in the 3-0 win vs Moderation FC on Friday.
He has now taken his tally to five goals in the competition, having scored in the Red Devil's opening game against FC Martinenc.
With Shoretire's performance in Spain, everything is pointing to the fact that he will be fully promoted to Manchester United's U16 team in the 2018-2019 campaign.
Tosin Kehinde, Matthew Olosunde, Mipo Odubeko, Hamzai Balogun, Maximilano Oyedele, Oscar Guobadia, Habeeb Ogunneye and Joachim Adeoti all represent Manchester United's youth teams.
No Nigeria international has played for Manchester United since the formation of the club one hundred and forty years ago.
