Sint-Truidense Coach Urges Arsenal Loanee Akpom To Follow In The Footsteps Of Ndidi
Arsenal loanee Chuba Akpom has impressed since transferring to Sint-Truidense in the January transfer window.

The assistant coach of STVV who played a key role in his move to the Belgian First Division A outfit has declared that the striker can follow in the footsteps of Wilfred Ndidi by first developing in the league before returning to England.

The former England U21 international netted his first goal in a STVV shirt against RSC Anderlecht in the last round of matches.

''These loans are for young English players the most normal thing in the world, it is the best way for them to gain experience, with ups and downs, the Tottenham striker Harry Kane is the best example of this,'' Chris O'Loughlin told Het Belang van Limburg.

''Unfortunately, the Belgian league is often underestimated in England, because they do not know us as well as Germany.

''However, it is not only De Bruyne and Hazard who are doing well in England. We have demonstrated to Akpom the beautiful example of Ndidi.

''He has made the direct step from the Jupiler Pro League to Leicester and digested well. It is a step that many more players could put. Ndidi is only one. ''

Akpom previously spent time on loan at Brentford, Coventry City, Nottingham Forest, Hull City and Brighton.
