Man Utd-Bound Winger To Earn Five Times The Wages Of Nigeria's Top Earner In England
Published: January 21, 2018Alexis Sanchez is set to wrap up his transfer from Arsenal to Manchester United this week in a deal that will see him become the highest paid footballer in the United Kingdom.
According to reports in England, including The Sun, the Chile international will pocket £400,000-a-week at the Old Trafford outfit, equivalent of £20.8 million per season.
Sanchez will earn approximately five times the wages paid to Nigeria's top earner in England, Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses, who takes home around £3.9 million every year.
The former Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic man saw his wages increase to £75,000-a-week after penning a contract extension with the Premier League champions in March 2017.
Not far behind the Chelsea number fifteen is Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, who pockets 70,000 pounds per week, followed by teammate Ahmed Musa who takes home around £65,000-a-week.
Wilfred Ndidi earns £50,000-a-week while Alex Iwobi and Isaac Success receive £30,000 each per week at Arsenal and Watford respectively.
