Alex Iwobi Ends Three-Month Goal Drought As Arsenal Thrash Eagles
Arsenal romped to a swashbuckling 4-1 win over a hapless Crystal Palace side in an English Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium as Arsene Wenger's men doused tensions of the Alexis Sanchez saga.

Alex Iwobi started for the Gunners in the encounter as they embarked on a statement first half.

The Nigerian worked the Crystal Palace goalkeeper as early as the sixth minute, with Wayne Hennessey just about managing to turn behind his sizzling shot for a corner which Nacho Montreal leaped highest to bury with a header from Granit Xhaka's cross.

The hosts wasted little time in doubling their lead yet, Monreal turning provider now to lay off a low cross for Iwobi who had the simplest of tasks in picking his spot from close range.

Laurent Koscielny and Alexandre Lacazette made it three and four respectively within the breathless first 45 minutes before Van Aanholt went close for the Eagles after the restart.

Luka Milivojevic grabbed a consolatory goal for Palace 12 minutes from time but that proved too little too late as Arsenal snapped their six-match winless run in brilliant fashion.

Alex Iwobi, who last scored on October 1, 2017 prior to today's encounter, made way for Saed Kolasinac with eight minutes left on the clock.
