Leicester 2 Fleetwood Town 0: Two-Goal Hero Iheanacho Enters History Books Thanks To VAR
Kelechi Iheanacho broke his goal duck in his side's FA Cup replay 2-0 win over Fleetwood Town at the King Power, scoring both goals as Leicester City avoided any potential banana skin to move into the next round of the competition.

The 21-year old who had failed to find the net in each of his nine previous appearances for the Foxes beat Fleetwood goalkeeper, Chris Neal from the center of the box in the 43rd minute after been teed up by strike partner, Islam Slimani.

Thirteen minutes from time, he would then complete his brace, scoring off an assist from Riyad Mahrez.

Iheanacho's goal was initially disallowed but the goal was awarded after the use of VAR, and he became the first player to score a goal by VAR in England.

Thus, Claude Puel's side would now prepare to face Peterborough in the fourth round of the competition were they had been losing finalists a record four times.

While Iheanacho who was booked in the 17th minute of the game would make way for Shinji Okazaki in the 81st minute, Wilfred Ndidi would not come off the bench for action.
