Super Eagles Star Alex Iwobi Names The One Arsenal Player He Looks Up To
Published: December 08, 2017Nigeria international Alex Iwobi has admitted that he looks up to England star Theo Walcott at Arsenal.
Like Walcott, Iwobi was tipped for stardom at a young age and has made the grade after breaking into the Gunners first team towards the end of the 2015-2016 season.
This season, the Hale End Academy product has been called upon for very important matches in the Premier League against Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.
''Theo [Walcott] is one of the more experienced players and he would know how to go about doing this, he still motivates the team and puts in a good shift in training,'' Iwobi told arsenal.com.
''I even look up to him at times, he tells me what to do and gives me advice. Everyone is there for each other, the chemistry is there.
''He brings goals, chances and is an attacking threat with a lot of pace and he’s one that can hurt defences, so he’s very important to the team.''
Iwobi was an Arsenal trialist from the age of six and officially signed for the North London club aged nine.
