Published: October 23, 2017Republic of Ireland began their campaign in the prestigious Victory Shield tournament on a winning note by beating rivals Northern Ireland 1-0 at the Bangor Fuels Arena on Monday afternoon.
Manchester United striker Ademipo Odubeko and Arsenal wonderkid Armstrong Oko-flex were named in the starting line-up by Republic of Ireland manager Paul Osam.
Another promising player of Nigerian parentage in Waterford FC defender Tega Agberhiere started on the bench for the Boys in Green.
